LUKOIL Macedonia commences its commercial activity on the 17th of August 2005, according to the Memorandum for collaboration, signed between the Government of Republic of Macedonia and the oil company LUKOIL.
The first gas station in Macedonia started to work on the 1st of September and its official opening was on the 8th of September 2006. It is situated at the entrance of the city of Skopje, to be precise in Kamnik area. Regarding the oil base in Shtip, its opening was held in August 2005.
According to the equipment built-in and the safety and storing organization of petrol products, the base that LUKOIL owns in Shtip is one of the most modern bases in the Balkans where utmost attention is paid to ecology and environment protection.
The warehouse has been constructed in compliance with the highest European and LUKOIL standards thus becoming a powerful facility capable of satisfying the needs of the customers both in the country and abroad.
Types of fuel stored at the LUKOIL Storehouse are as follows:

TNG PROPANE BUTANE
The storehouse boasts sophisticated measuring equipment for loading and unloading of petrol products.
The structure also includes a most up-to-date automatic pouring facility with 4 fuel loading places and 2 TNG loading places and has a modern wagon pouring facility for unloading of petrol products.
There is also a newly built storehouse for storing oils and lubricants from the LUKOIL production program.
Because of the development of the technology in the production of new cars, the need for developing new types of fuels is necessary. LUKOIL Macedonia follows this trend and on the macedonian market starts to sell high quality ecologic fuels,from the fifth generation, produced in the oil refinery "LUKOIL-Neftokhim Burgas":
ЕКТО Sport (EUROSUPER BS 98) — Unleaded motor fuel (according to European standard EN228)
EKTO Plus (EUROSUPER BS 95) — Unleaded motor fuel (according to European standard EN228)
EKTO Diesel (EURODIESEL BS) — (according European standard EN590 — Euro V)
Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) (propane-butane) — in the recent times more often LPG is used as engine fuel.
